Going to study at university is a big step; our aim is to make that step a little less daunting. We exist to make your student life a little more comfortable, ranging from fun parties and activities to useful hints and tips about studying and living in the Netherlands.
In the summer of 2011, a group of friends got together in the hopes of filling a gap in the market of student organizations, because we realized internationals didn’t have the same social opportunities as Dutch students. The idea was to become an organization that would focus on international students in Rotterdam; organizing events to enhance student life and providing all the information that is useful to internationals. This led to the creation of our non-profit student organization; International Students Rotterdam. Rotterdam is our city of choice, full of students and great schools, and we want everyone’s experience to be as great as it can be. In the past we have organized different events such as parties, social drinks, cultural and sports events where we attempt to create a place where internationals can come together and enjoy Rotterdam.
Over the coming years we hope to continue helping and entertaining internationals. We know what its like to come to a new country and we want to make the transition as smooth as possible.
